Mikhail Men`s appointment as governor of Ivanovo region was confirmed
Deputies of Legislative Assembly in Ivanovo region have confirmed Mikhail Men?s appointment as governor during special meeting on Tuesday.
All 32 deputies of regional Duma who presented gave their voices for allotment of governor power for Men.
Men was taking up a post of assistant of the mayor in Moscow government, working in interregional ties and national policy committee, "Moskomsport" and ties with religious organizations committee.
Russian president Vladimir Putin nominated Men for election.
Yuri Luzhkov lost another member of his team. After Valery Shantsev became governor another mayor?s assistant left Moscow government.
Ivanovo politicians think Men?s candidature is "the best choice for the region".
